For two hundred years, Leighton Buzzard came to Wm. Yirrell’s. Today, Abbey Meats comes to you. Everything we sell is cut to order, chilled, carefully packed, and handled by our own team from the block to your doorstep.

How our delivery works

Fresh doesn’t travel well when it’s rushed. Ours doesn’t have to – because we control every step, from the block to your front door. Use our Postcode Checker below. And if our next-day delivery isn’t convenient, you can also ‘Click & Collect’ from our Leighton Buzzard Butchery…

Order by 3pm

Place your order online or by phone before 3pm and it goes on tomorrow’s round. Miss the cut-off and you’re simply on the next day’s.

Cut the same day

Your order is boned, trimmed and packed by hand after you place it – never pulled off a shelf, never sitting under lights. Chilled and ready.

Delivered by us

Our own drivers bring it to your door in our refrigerated vans, chilled the whole way. No third-party courier, no meat left in the sun.

FREE over £30

Free delivery for all orders over over £30. Under that, a flat £4.99 – no minimum, no fuss. We only deliver within 5 miles of Leighton Buzzard

Prefer to collect? Order online, skip the delivery, and pick your order up ready-packed and chilled, from our Leighton Buzzard Butchery

1. Order online or by phone, by 3pm. Choose Click & Collect at checkout instead of delivery – there’s no delivery charge to pay.

2. We cut and pack it the same day. Your order is prepared fresh and set aside, chilled, under your name.

3. Collect the next day. Come to our unit, quote your order, and it’s handed straight over – in and out in a minute.
