PROPER BUTCHERS SINCE 1820

New Arrivals

The newest additions to the Abbey Meats counter – fresh cuts, seasonal specialities and small-batch products just added to our range. Each one is chosen and prepared to the same standard the town has trusted since 1820, and cut fresh before it reaches you.

New cuts, same craft

From new seasonal cuts to products we’ve been perfecting behind the scenes, this is where our range grows. Every arrival earns its place – prepared by hand, and held to the standards two centuries of butchery have set.

Our New Arrivals

made the proper way

Meat worth coming back for

Nothing reaches this page until it meets the bar. New arrivals are trialled, tasted and cut in our own kitchen before they’re offered to you, whether it’s a heritage-breed joint, a slow-matured steak or a fresh take on a classic sausage. If it doesn’t live up to the Abbey Meats name, it doesn’t make the range.

Behind every new product is the same craft that has defined this butchery for over two hundred years. Cuts are matured properly, seasoned by hand and prepared by butchers who know their trade – not assembled on a line or dressed up for a shelf. What’s new here is only ever the product itself, never the standard it is held to.

Ordered the £30 meat pack on a Tuesday, arrived Wednesday morning, all properly chilled. Steak was excellent. Will be ordering again

Been meaning to leave a review for ages. We switched from the supermarket after a friend recommended these and honestly there's no comparison - the pork especially. Delivery driver even carried it in for me as was a heavy box. Little things.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure about ordering meat online. Turns out it's better than what I was getting at the supermarket "fresh" meat counter. The bacon is the real winner, was proper thick cut, and doesn't shrink to nothing in the pan.

Absolutely brilliant. The burgers went down a storm at our BBQ and a certain guest (you know who you are) wanted to know where I'd got them... High praise!

We used to go to Yirrells years ago so it's lovely to see the same quality still going. Ordered lamb for Sunday and it was every bit as good as I remember - thanks for your advice Mark.

Meat quality is genuinely excellent - the beef joint was superb. Only thing I'd say is I'd like a few more options in the smaller packs. Otherwise no complaints at all.
